Mom's Whisker Collection

Mom has a collection of very fine cat whiskers.

When my sister Hana the Dog passed away, Mom saved a lock of Hana's fur. What she missed were Hana's whiskers. In all of the 9 years that Hana lived, Mom never saw one of Hana's whiskers that had fallen off.

So when I adopted my Mom and she found one of my whiskers on the pillow one day, Mom decided to start a Prints the Cat Whisker collection.

Hmmm, peculiar or endearing? Or perhaps good training?

Moms always like to save weird stuff about us "babies" Prints...it is both odd but kind of nice...get used to it! My mom has one of my baby teeth!

Oh, our human has been saving our whiskers for several years! She's glad she's not the only one. MOL! Actually, in 2008 she taped the ones she had into the Christmas cards she sent to other cat-people. Crazy human. :-D

We think it is a very sweet thing of her to do! Our mom hasn't done that but she thinks it is a good idea. She might start herself (though there isn't a good way to know which are which with some of them).

Very endearing. How does she find your whiskers. My Mommy has only found one of mine, ever.

Well Prints, our Humans sometimes need something to remember us by! I have personally started a huge fur-fest under the bed that only I see! Some day, a long, long time from now, mom will find it and probably get all teary-eyed about my fur. Maybe you can learn how to do "trades" like Siku - a whisker for a treat, or some catnip, or some........

Love,
Prinnie

Now if that is not good training, I don't know what is! Wow, you have lost a lot of whiskers. I think my mom would not know whose whiskers she found if she found them at my house.
Hope you had a nice Easter weekend!
