Housekeeper in Training

As you have now deduced by reading my blog, the lady I adopted has never been adopted by a cat before. It has been over a month, but she is still in cat training. Recently she discovered the importance of clean window sills.

She had been neglecting the window sills. Only cleans them once every two or three years, if even that "often" and I am being generous here because I don't want the lady to feel bad. I actually found a window sill that she seems to have never cleaned the entire SEVEN YEARS she has lived in this house! I am embarrassed to have her as the lady of the house! What a mess! I wonder why the "alarm" sign in the window didn't alert her to her dusty window sills. Sigh.

Anyhow, yesterday evening, the lady finally cleaned the window sill with a vacuum cleaner and a wet rag. It was just one window sill, but it's a start.

This bay window (see below photo) is much harder to clean. Even the man has trouble cleaning it because it extends so far out and their arms and the vacuum cleaner have trouble reaching and doing the job. The lady and man also don't want to sit on the counter and put weight on it for fear it will break. I guess I will just have to live with a dusty bay window for now.

p.s. About my last post (Toilet Flushing). I finally made a poopie yesterday! The lady was ecstatic! I didn't really flush it too well, but at least something came out. She was very relieved, however she doesn't know why I am forgetting to flush every once in a while.

I'm so glad that you went poopie today! Hurray!!!:) Sometimes our pawrents neglect the areas where other humans don't really see. I hope they get around to the other window sills for you.

Apparently some cats just don't flush very well. at all. Hansel gets so disgusted if tesla forgets to flush- that if he is walking by he goes in and flushes FOR her and then leaves because he thinks she is just gross.

Nothing to worry about!

Hi Prints

That sure is a very nice Bay Window to sun tan in, and the little shelf is Purrfect! Did your parents put in the shelf just for you?
It's like you have your very own Kitty Hawaii!

Good to hear that you finaly Pottied #2 for your mom, she was getting a little worried.

Don't worry about flushing too much Prints, I am sure that your mom and dad will flush for you. After all, I have my mom trained to pick up my poop :-)

I know what you mean about dusty window sills. Humans just don't understand how icky and sneezy it is to rest on a layer of dirt. I am always having to remind my family about the sill by my look out perch! And my people don't clean my nose prints off of the window often enough; it gets all smeary and I can barely see out.

good news, Prince! ( or should I call you Prints?)

I had the same problem with my dog when she came to visit me ( she lives with my mother in another town). She did not poop for 3,4,5,6 days! I would walk her everyday and still no poop. I was beginning to worry. One night, my husband the Animal Doctor took my dog for a walk. Then she pooped! From that moment on she began pooping regularly in our house. I guess you just need to feel comfortable in your new home.

I can't even tell you about our window sills.....ew!
But, OMG! Mom says you have the best view from your bay window! You must be a top cat or something! I think you hit the jackpot with your new lady and man and your new forever home. Who cares if you don't flush!
